Meet the Doctor

Dr. Lauren Schofield

Dr. Lauren Schofield was born and raised in Paoli, PA. After extensive involvement in sports at both Conestoga High School and the Upper Main Line YMCA, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Fitness from the Department of Physical Therapy at Springfield College in Springfield, MA. It was her work as a fitness trainer and a chiropractic assistant that inspired her to return to school four years later to become a chiropractor. After receiving her Doctorate of Chiropractic in December of 1994 from Life University in Atlanta, she returned home to start her career as an associate doctor in a chiropractic office in Kennett Square. In just two years the office grew into one of the largest practices in the tri-state area. Dr. Schofield was instrumental in the integration of allopathic medicine and chiropractic medicine. She was the leader of a team of medical doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists working together to achieve the best results for their patients. Dr. Schofield’s almost six-year experience at this extremely successful practice led her to develop a style all her own. In September of 2001, Dr. Schofield was invited to take over a practice in her hometown of West Chester. Her passion for chiropractic medicine, work experience and interest in the community fueled Advanced Chiropractic to where it is today. Dr. Schofield remains involved in many charitable and educational events in the community: Community Volunteers in Medicine Volunteer, Arthritis Foundation Exercise Trainer, West Chester YMCA speaker, The Chester County Hospital volunteer and a member of the Chester County Chamber. Dr. Schofield is on television as a guest on QVC with various health products and on radio as a guest on WCHE 1520AM promoting the benefits of chiropractic care. Advanced Chiropractic Wellness Center and Dr. Schofield are committed to providing patients with the most complete and advanced treatment in a friendly environment.

Dr. Denise Butler

Dr. Denise Butler was born and raised in Yonkers, NY. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Stony Brook University. It was her love of science and knowledge of the human body that led her to Logan Chiropractic School in St. Louis, MO, where she received her Doctorate of Chiropractic in April of 2000. Dr. Butler returned home to start her career as an associate doctor in Queens, NY. Dr. Butler’s passion to help the less fortunate began in college and continued in her career, volunteering in homeless shelters and AIDS clinics. Dr. Butler was instrumental, with the help of the American Red Cross, in getting chiropractic treatment to the firefighters and officers after the 9-11 tragedy. She worked at Ground Zero for four months and received a humanitarian award from the American Red Cross in recognition of her relief work. Dr. Butler practiced for almost two years in Queens then moved to San Ramon, Costa Rica for one year. She was one of twelve chiropractors practicing in Costa Rica at that time. In addition to aiding the natives Dr. Butler was asked to work with the athletes at the Costa Rican Olympics. Her lifelong love of the outdoors flourished in this pristine Caribbean environment. She learned extensively about whole food nutrition and the importance of nutrition in resolving disease processes. This experience greatly enhanced her expertise in nutrition. Dr. Butler met Dr. Schofield in January of 2000 during her internship for college. Shortly after Dr. Butler returned from Costa Rica in the spring of 2002, she took the opportunity to join Dr. Schofield at Advanced Chiropractic Wellness Center. She brings to the practice her nutritional expertise, sports rehabilitation skills and a passion for life.  In addition to her practice Dr. Butler also remains involved in many charitable and educational events in the community... Community Volunteers in Medicine volunteer, Arthritis Foundation Aquatics Instructor, Chester County Hospital volunteer, Nutritional educator.  Dr. Butler is commited to giving the best, most advanced treatment in a fun friendly enviornment.
